Experience:

The candidate applied for the SDE-1 (Android) role through a LinkedIn link and received an email from HR for an Online Assessment (OA).

Online Assessment (1.5 hours): The OA was specific to the Android role, consisting of MCQs based on Android knowledge and 2 DSA questions, which were Leetcode medium difficulty. The candidate solved the OA in less than an hour.

Round 1 (Android Basics): This round involved being grilled on Android basics, as well as fundamental concepts of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. The feedback was positive, leading to the next round.

Round 2 (Advanced Android): In this round, the candidate was tested on advanced Android topics, including Android Design Architectures, the internal working of various Android components like ViewModel, and complex questions on Android Activity and Fragment lifecycle.

Round 3 (Hiring Manager Round) (1.5 hours): This was considered the hardest round by the candidate. The manager thoroughly questioned the candidate about their work at their current company, Inmobi-Glance. Questions focused on the hardest features built, challenges faced, and how those challenges were overcome, often requiring diagrams using "excalidraw". Additionally, a puzzle based on the angle difference between the hour hand and minute hand of a clock was asked. After this round, the HR called the next day with a positive feedback and an offer.
