Experience:

The candidate interviewed for an SDE Internship (Backend) role after being referred through LinkedIn. The recruitment process was described as amazing, smooth, and with super supportive recruiters.

Online Assessment (90 minutes): This round was conducted on HackerEarth and consisted of 3 coding questions. The difficulty was described as 2 Leetcode Medium and 1 Leetcode Hard problem, and the candidate solved 2 out of 3.

DSA Interview Round (60 minutes): This round involved a quick introduction followed by solving 2 Leetcode Medium level problems on a Google Doc with an online compiler. One problem was based on the sliding window algorithm, and the second was a recursion-based problem (choice diagram, no DP). The interviewer was helpful and gave hints. The candidate initially struggled with the first problem, taking 40-45 minutes, but managed to solve both, eventually clearing the round.

Final Round (60 minutes): This round was more theoretical, focusing on questions from the candidate's resume and domains like System Design, Operating System, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and DBMS. Despite having negligible experience with System Design, the candidate discussed it like a project, presenting counter-opinions which impressed the interviewer. The interviewer also asked for pseudo-code for the design. The candidate was very satisfied with their performance in this round.
