Experience:

This interview for a Full Stack Web Developer position was described as a rigorous and "disheartening" experience. The interviewer extensively questioned the candidate on various technologies and concepts.

The interview began with questions on **React**. Topics covered included passing data to components (props, state), Virtual DOM, state management, Redux (brief explanation provided as the candidate had limited experience), lazy loading, and routing. The candidate mentioned the interviewer seemed disappointed when it took a few seconds to formulate responses.

The focus then shifted to **.NET Core**. Questions included its features (cross-platform, open-source, self-contained applications), middleware (concepts and examples for routing, authentication, error handling, logging), SOLID principles, TAP (Task Asynchronous Programming), return types in .NET Core Web API, attribute routing, Global Assembly Cache (GAC), and Garbage Collection (unmanaged and managed code). The interviewer reportedly showed disappointment when the candidate couldn't recall all basic middleware components instantly.

Additionally, questions on **HTML5 and CSS** were asked.

The interviewer then intended to assess **System Design** skills, but the candidate, feeling overwhelmed, admitted inability to proceed.

Finally, a **coding round** involved two problems:

• Finding palindrome substrings of even and odd lengths, counting them, and returning the counts in an array.
• Writing code to fetch data from a mock URL using React, for which the candidate used Axios, hooks, and async/await.

The interviewer expressed disappointment that the candidate used functional components for the React coding task, apparently expecting class components. The candidate's overall impression was that the interviewer expected immediate and spontaneous answers without much thinking time.
