Experience:

The candidate applied for a Full Stack Developer position with 3+ years of experience. The entire process took around three weeks.

Round 1 (Technical - 60 mins, Online): Conducted on Microsoft Teams with a senior developer. It was primarily a problem-solving round.

• Two easy-to-medium DSA problems: one involving a HashMap and another involving two pointers.

The expectation was to write and compile code with manual test cases. The candidate solved both problems. HR called immediately after to schedule next rounds.

Round 2 (Technical - 90 mins, On-site): This round covered Java, OOP principles, and DSA in depth.

• Questions ranged from basic to advanced Java concepts.
• Theoretical questions on OOP.
• Two medium DSA questions to be coded on paper.

The candidate performed exceptionally well.

Round 3 (Managerial and Technical - 60 mins, On-site): Primarily managerial with some technical questions based on experience and resume.

• Discussion on current work and reasons for switching jobs.
• A few Java questions.
• A puzzle was asked.

The candidate answered most questions and was informed about the next round.

Round 4 (Director - 45 mins, On-site): This round was with the Director of the department.

• Discussion about background, expectations from the new job, team, and expectations from the new hire.

This was described as the easiest and most interesting round.

Round 5 (Technical - Not Specified, On-site): This round included a few JavaScript questions, framework-related questions, and one medium DSA problem.

The candidate felt their overall performance was "just okay" apart from the DSA question.

Round 6 (HR - 30 mins, Virtual): The final HR round.

• Questions about personal background, family, interests outside work, and explaining work in layman's terms.
• No salary discussion occurred in this round.

Overall Experience: The candidate received a draft offer letter three to four days after the HR round. It was a good, though lengthy, experience.
