Experience:

SAP Labs visited the campus for the Developer Associate position. The process included 5 rounds.

Round 1 (Coding Test - 45 min): This round had 2 coding questions. The first was easy, and the second was medium.

  • Question 1: Given an array, print all even numbers before all odd numbers.
  • Question 2: Evaluate an expression with power and modulo terms using fast power modulation.

The candidate solved both questions and was among 40 students shortlisted.

Round 2 (Technical Round 1 - 50 min): Started with introductions, then moved to OOPs concepts.

  • Differences between C and C++, and which is better with justification.
  • Encapsulation and Abstraction.
  • Runtime Polymorphism, explained with code.
  • DSA question: Lowest Common Ancestor in a Binary Tree. The interviewer asked for the optimized solution and code.

The candidate solved both DSA questions and explained projects from their resume.

Round 3 (Technical Round 2 - 35 min): This round was entirely DSA-based.

  • The exact questions are not fully recalled, but it involved DSA problems.

The candidate felt confident about their performance.

Round 4 (Managerial Round - 35-40 min): The interviewer was polite and humble.

  • "Which is your dream company?" and justification.
  • "How can you help people in this pandemic? Any idea."
  • "As I am from ECE, why do I want to go into the software?"

The candidate asked questions about work culture, hierarchy, and tech stacks for freshers.

Round 5 (HR Round - 25 min): This was a short round.

  • Basic HR questions.
  • The interviewer confirmed the offer.

Overall Experience: The candidate found the experience amazing, and their hard work paid off. 12 students received offers.
