PubMatic conducted an on-campus recruitment drive for SDE roles in Pune.

Round 1: Shortlisting
Candidates were shortlisted based on CGPA. Around 70 candidates were shortlisted.

Round 2: Coding Test
This round was conducted on HackerEarth and consisted of 3 coding questions: 1 Easy (string), 1 Medium (Tree), and 1 Hard (Dynamic Programming). The time allotted was 90 minutes. 10-15 candidates were shortlisted from this round.

Round 3: Technical Interview
The interviewer was a Senior Developer. The interview started with an introduction, followed by questions on project details and internship experience. Technical topics included pointers in C and C++, function pointers, recursion, and one question on recursion. A Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) question involved a linked list, and the candidate was asked to explain the logic of the solution from the previous coding round. A puzzle was also part of the interview. Other technical questions covered correlated queries in SQL, OS fundamentals, and Cloud computing fundamentals. The candidate was rejected after this round.

Tips: Focus on C and C++ concepts, especially pointers. Have a strong understanding of Operating Systems and Cloud Computing concepts, as questions can be in-depth. Remember the logic and approach used to solve coding round questions.
