Experience:

This interview experience for the ASDE1 role at Publicis Sapient, conducted virtually on-campus, led to an offer.

Round 1: Online Test
This round consisted of two coding questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The questions were variations of the "Two Sum problem" and the "Number of Islands problem". The candidate solved both and was selected for the interviews.

Round 2: Technical Round
The interview started with the common "Tell me about yourself" question, focusing on technical skills. A few questions were asked about the candidate's projects. The next set of questions related to web designing, covering basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript syntactical questions. The interviewer asked to design a form considering all constraints and how an email could be validated. Since SEO was mentioned in the resume, a few questions were also from that topic. OOPS questions were based on a real-life example. Questions on data structures included what could be used in printers. A coding question required checking if a string is a palindrome and summing all vowels present in it; the code was written on paper and shown to the camera, with discussions on corner cases. Operating System topics like deadlock, process, and threading were covered. The interviewer also inquired about Agile methodology and UML, which the candidate answered using a "Scrum" example. The interviewer seemed satisfied, providing hints when the candidate missed a question.

Round 3: HR Round
After clearing the first round, a mail for the HR round was received almost an hour later. This was more of a conversational round. Questions included "Tell me about yourself again" (focused on extracurricular activities), "What, how and why Developer student club?", "What was your previous HR's name?", "Why did you apply in the company?", "Have you ever been to Bangalore? Do you like travelling?", "Why did you choose your college?", "What is the biggest risk you have taken?", "Do you regret not going into the fashion world?", and "Have you ever worked with more than 3-4 people?". The candidate also discussed one of the company's previous projects, which impressed the HR. The HR was supportive and friendly, and the interview went well.
