Publicis Sapient visited campus in August 2021 for a Trainee Engineer/SDE role, with a process consisting of three rounds.

Round 1: Coding Round
This round was held on HackerRank and consisted of two medium-difficulty coding questions to be solved in 90 minutes. One question involved sorting an array in zig-zag order. The other was similar to "Maximum area of a cake after horizontal and vertical cuts". Solving both problems led to selection for the next round, though solving one fully and one partially was also acceptable.

Round 2: Technical Round
This round was conducted on August 16. It started with an introduction, followed by questions about the candidate's projects and areas of interest in development. Questions were asked on Multithreading, Operating Systems (OS), and Computer Networks. Almost all concepts of OOPs in C++ were covered, including virtual functions, overloading, overriding, and inheritance, with requests to implement real-life situations in code. The interviewer also evaluated coding style, indentation, variable declaration, and comments.

Round 3: HR Round
An email for the HR round was received on the same day as the technical round. The candidate introduced themselves and their programming interests. Questions revolved around internships, problems faced, difficult situations, challenging tasks, and how they were resolved. This round primarily assessed soft skills, teamwork, and ability to handle workload and fast-paced technological changes.
