Experience:

The interview started with a brief introduction. For experienced professionals, the discussion heavily revolved around previous projects and contributions. The candidate was asked to explain the product they had worked on and its architecture. As the previous project was based on Microservices Architecture, questions were posed about the communication protocol used.

This discussion lasted for about half an hour, followed by a series of technical questions:

• What do you know about Distributed System Architecture?
• What are Microservices?
• Difference between Monolith and Microservices.
• Does each Microservice have a database attached to it? If yes, why?
• What do you understand by scalability? Explain Horizontal and Vertical Scaling with an example.
• Why is the Java platform Independent? How is a Java code built? (JDK, JRE, JIT, Interpreter)
• What is garbage collection in Java?
• What are the differences between SQL and NoSQL?
• What is Indexing? Is indexing possible in every case? If not, in which case is it not possible?
• Difference between Inheritance and Composition? Which is better and why?

At the end, the interviewer asked if the candidate had any questions, which is advised to ask to show enthusiasm for the company, product, or role.
