This interview experience for a Visual Analytics Intern position at Perceptive Analytics consisted of three rounds.

Round 1: Resume and Cover Letter Shortlisting
The initial round focused on shortlisting candidates based on their resume and cover letter. The key tip provided was to tailor the resume to the Job Description and write a cover letter highlighting relevant skills and projects.

Round 2: Online Test (Case Study Based)
This round was an online test conducted via Zoom, where candidates were asked to share their screens with cameras on. A Google Doc containing a "Restaurant Case Study" was shared, providing data inputs. The objective was to analyze the data and propose solutions to maximize profits. Candidates were given 60 minutes to type their answers. The advice given was to carefully analyze the data and relate parameters to the objective.

Round 3: Personal Interview
The personal interview began with a detailed discussion of the candidate's projects mentioned in their resume, including their real-life implications and tech stacks used. Following this, the interviewer posed a scenario: "design an ML model (assuming you are a Visual Analytics Engineer) for Zomato in order to reduce the delivery time." The candidate discussed parameters such as location, ratings, delivery boy's information, prices, and traffic. The discussion also covered Machine Learning models, data interpretation, and steps of data handling. The interviewer delved into the candidate's published research paper on ML-based prediction of stress in High entropy alloys. Tips for this round included knowing everything about the projects on the resume, remaining calm, and paying attention to the interviewer.
