Experience:

The candidate was selected for an SDE Intern role through an on-campus opportunity.

Round 1 (Technical Round 1 - 1 hour): This round began with an introduction, followed by discussions on the candidate's resume, internship experience, and projects. A DSA question was asked: "reverse a linked list in the k group". The candidate explained a recursive approach, discussed time and space complexity, and then wrote the code on a Google Doc link, which satisfied the interviewer. Questions from core subjects like OOPs, DBMS, and OS were also asked. Out of 80 students, 30 were shortlisted for the next round.

Round 2 (Technical Round 2 - 1 hour): This was a pure DSA round. After an introduction, the interviewer asked about "Group Anagrams". The candidate initially struggled but received a hint to use sorting and then cracked it, emphasizing speaking thoughts aloud. Another question, "Count the number of islands," was given with a 10-minute time limit, requiring only code. The candidate had solved a similar problem before and wrote the code quickly. After this round, 5 people were shortlisted.

Round 3 (Technical Round + HR - 1 hour): This round started with an introduction. The interviewer asked about the previous two rounds and the names of the interviewers. Questions covered family background and summer internship experience, including details about created endpoints and features. Two easy DSA questions were asked: "Fibonacci number" and "swap two numbers without using extra variables". HR questions followed, such as "what do you know about Autodesk," "where do you see yourself in the next 5 years," and "strengths and weaknesses". The round concluded with a few questions about computer fundamentals. Four students were shortlisted for the final HR round.

Round 4 (HR - 30 minutes): The interviewer stated they wouldn't ask typical introduction questions. They asked about the candidate's perception of an HR round and what they would judge as an interviewer. Further questions included openness to learning new technologies, handling a teammate leaving before project submission, and whether the candidate was an introvert or extrovert. All 4 shortlisted candidates were selected.
