The candidate applied for the Business Intelligence Analyst role at Polestar Solutions through campus placement and was one of 20 students selected. The recruitment process comprised three stages.

Stage 1: Online Aptitude Test. This test had a duration of 60 minutes and included sections on General Programming, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. It consisted of 60 questions with a 0.5 negative marking for incorrect answers, and each section had its own time limit. The test was fairly comprehensive, and around 130 students cleared this round.

Stage 2: Technical Interview. This was an in-person technical interview. The interviewer started with an introduction and questions about the candidate's resume, especially their major project and extracurricular activities. The candidate was then given a physics and mathematics problem to solve. The interviewer was friendly and provided guidance, making the process comfortable. Questions were tailored to the candidate's resume, focusing on areas like problem analysis, puzzle-solving, aptitude, or SQL. After this round, the candidate was shortlisted for the HR round.

Stage 3: HR Interview. The final round was a conversational HR interview. Basic personal questions were asked, such as "Tell me about your family background," "What are your strengths and weaknesses?", "What do you know about Polestar Solutions?", and "Why do you want to join Polestar?". This round lasted about 10 minutes, and the candidate had an opportunity to ask questions about company culture and growth opportunities.
