Experience:

This experience details a mock interview for a Full Stack Developer role, conducted as part of the NxtWave CCBP 4.0 program in February 2024.

Mock Interview Round:

The interviewer started by asking the candidate to open their resume and asked a few questions related to it, followed by a self-introduction.

Project Explanation: This was highlighted as a crucial part. The candidate explained their project in detail, emphasizing the technologies used. Follow-up questions were asked on topics such as:

• How JWT token works.
• Difference between authorization and authentication.
• What is React Router.
• Why useContext was used.

HTML and CSS Questions:

• Difference between HTML and HTTP.
• Use of anchor tag.
• Ordered list and unordered list.
• Task: Design a WhatsApp chat window within 5 minutes.
• Questions on media queries and flexbox.
• CSS box model.
• Current color gradient and its types.
• Difference between HTML 4 and HTML 5.
• Centering elements and responsive design (asked to try different styles on a coding window).

Python Questions:

• Difference between list and tuple.
• How to access values in a dictionary.
• What is `init` and `self`.
• OOPs concepts with examples.
• Types of inheritance.
• How to create an object in Python.
• Coding part: Write a code on a factorial of a number using a while loop. (The candidate noted that it's important to be able to write the same code using while loop, for loop, and recursion).

SQL Questions:

• What is a database, DBMS, and RDBMS (difference).
• Types of joins.
• Key difference between primary key and foreign key.

Feedback:

After the mock interview, the candidate received a call from NxtWave with feedback. The feedback indicated that everything was fine except for the project explanation, where the candidate needed to mention each step in their project and have a stronger grip on practicing follow-up questions. It was also suggested to practice more coding questions of easy to medium difficulty.
