Experience:

The interview process for SDE1 at Navi Technologies consisted of two main rounds after an initial online test. The candidate, a new graduate from a Tier 1 college with a BTech in Electrical Engineering, successfully cleared these rounds.

The first round involved 3 DSA questions where the candidate was asked to quickly explain the approach and write code on paper. The candidate was able to answer all questions, taking a hint for one, and was among 8 out of 18 selected for the next round.

The second round was a Technical + HR Round, lasting about 1 hour. This round focused heavily on projects mentioned in the candidate's CV, with many cross-questions asked. A long discussion also took place regarding the candidate's internship project. Behavioral questions included "Why do you want to join NAVI?" and a system design-oriented question: "How would you approach designing the digital lending section of our app if you were hired in 2018." All 8 candidates who reached this round were finally selected.
