Experience:

An anonymous candidate shared their experience for a Software Engineer role at NatWest Group through a campus drive. The selection process involved resume shortlisting, an online test, and interviews.

Application Process:
Applied through a college campus drive. Eligibility required above 7 CGPA. Resume tips included having at least 2 good projects explained concisely, mentioning every skill, and focusing on skills, projects, and experiences.

Preparation:
Preparation lasted 2 months, focusing on Data Structures, Algorithms, System Design, Aptitude, and OOPS. Tips included practicing previously asked interview and online test questions, going through experiences from platforms like Codestudio and Leetcode, and having at least 2 good projects.

Round 1: Online Coding Interview
Duration: 90 minutes. This round included MCQ-based questions covering Quantitative, Verbal, Reasoning, and Computer Science Concepts (DBMS, OS, Java, C). The aptitude section had medium-level questions. Two coding problems were also asked, described as easy to moderate.

Coding Questions mentioned:

• Shortest Substring with all characters.
• Find Maximum number possible by doing at-most K swaps (adjacent swaps).

After the online test, 15 candidates were selected for interviews.

Round 2 & 3 (Combined/Sequential Interviews): Technical + HR Questions
The interview included both technical and HR aspects.

Technical Questions:

• DBMS Questions: Write a query to find the 3rd highest salary of an employee having 'a' and 'c' in their last name. What is the difference between primary key and unique?
• What is the output of print(type("Python"))?
• What are different types of cryptography techniques? Why do we need encryption?

HR Questions:

• Basic HR Questions.
• Give a scenario where you helped your team in completing a project within a deadline.
• Why do you want to join NatWest?
• Preferred job location and any question for interviewers.

The candidate was selected due to strong knowledge of Python fundamentals and problem-solving ability.
