Experience:

This candidate applied for the Software Engineer - Frontend (React JS) position at Myntra through a referral. The recruitment process consisted of 4 rounds.

Round 1 (Technical interview - Problem Solving): The interviewer posed 3 coding questions. The emphasis was on discussing all approaches (brute force to efficient), corner/edge cases, and complexity.

  • Delete Nth node from the end of a given linked list.
  • A program to check if strings are rotations of each other or not.
  • Add parenthesis around each number in a string such that it has an exact number of parentheses as the number itself, using an optimized way to minimize parentheses. Example: 213 -> ((2)1((3))).

Round 2 (Technical interview - Data Structures): This round again involved 4 coding questions.

  • Delete a Node from the linked list without a head pointer.
  • Check for Balanced Brackets in an expression.
  • Minimum Number of Platforms Required for a Railway Station.
  • Lowest Common Ancestor in a Binary Tree.

Round 3 (Hiring Manager Interview): This round focused on the candidate's current job responsibilities and work, including tech stack, API design, use cases, and implementation. Discussions included designing logic for a chess app and implementing a program that reads a book file to create an audio version. Questions on React JS and JavaScript were also asked, such as:
