Experience:

The candidate applied for an internship and received an offer. The interview process consisted of two 45-minute virtual interviews. The candidate had previous IT and SWE internship experience and prepared by doing around 150 LeetCode problems (mostly medium and some hard), focusing on mastering patterns.

Round 1: Virtual Interview
This round included behavioral questions, a LeetCode easy problem, and networking questions. The candidate was able to answer the behavioral and LeetCode questions but struggled with networking, admitting they hadn't learned it. The interviewer advised them to prepare networking for the next round.

Round 2: Virtual Interview
This round featured a LeetCode easy problem, a LeetCode medium problem, and more networking questions. Despite the advice, the candidate did not fully prepare for networking, managing only to answer some questions at a high level regarding how IP address, DNS, and Linux PING functions work.

The candidate surprisingly received an offer despite not fully answering all questions. The offer included a salary of $40 per hour and a one-time payment of $6000 for rent stipend, bonus, and relocation.
