Experience:

The interview process consisted of three rounds.

Round 1: Online Test
This round was conducted in an AMCAT environment. Candidates had to choose their preferred programming language (C++/Java) for the coding test. The sections included:

• Quantitative aptitude – 16 questions (16 minutes)
• Logical reasoning – 14 questions (14 minutes)
• English comprehension – 18 questions (22 minutes)
• Programming question – 22 questions (25 minutes)
• Coding questions:
  • Find GCD of a set of given numbers.
  • Alternate Sort (Sort the array and print alternate elements). Example: Input array = {3, 5, 10, 0, -1, 4, 1}. Output array = { -1, 1, 4, 10}.

If two coding questions were solved in Java, the candidate was moved to the Motive panel (Programmer / Java Developer). If solved in C++, they were moved to the Motive and BBA panel.

Round 2: Technical Round (1 hour 30 minutes)
Around 84 students were shortlisted. This candidate was moved to the Motive panel due to solving Java coding questions. The technical interview focused heavily on Java and project-related questions:

• Introduce yourself.
• Explain your mini projects.
• Questions related to mini projects covering topics like cloud, database, blockchain, and class diagrams of the project.
• Explain internal architecture of Java.
• What is JVM, JDK, and JRE?
• What is byte-code?
• Why is Java platform independent?
• What are all the types of memory in Java?
• Difference between Array and ArrayList.
• Advantages of Array over linked list.
• What is mutable and immutable string?
• Code for declaring a hash table in collections.
• Can we add duplicate values and keys in a hash table? What if we add duplicate keys?
• What is meant by 'genesys' in Java?
• What is an abstract class?
• Difference between abstract class and interface.
• Real-time example for abstract class and interface.
• Types of inner class in Java and code for it.
• Output for a given code snippet.
• DBMS Questions: Query to find the second max salary.

Round 3: HR Round
Around 16 students were shortlisted. Questions included:

• Tell me about yourself.
• About Nokia.
• Why Nokia?
• Cognizant vs Nokia (comparison question).
• What is your strength and weakness?

The candidate was not selected for a full-time offer, only an internship, as full-time vacancies were primarily for BBA and FNN domains.
