Experience:

Atlassian visited the campus in the last week of June for intern hiring. The process involved resume shortlisting, a coding round, a technical interview, and a values round.

Round 1: Coding Round

This round had 3 DSA questions, ranging from easy to hard.

• Question 1: A famous HashMap-based question.
• Questions 2 & 3: From topics like Dynamic Programming and DFS.

The candidate solved 2 questions and received an interview invitation. Important factors for shortlisting included not switching tabs, having projects on the resume, and a CGPA above 7.5.

Round 2: Technical Interview

This 1-hour interview was scheduled for July 1. There were two interviewers. After introductions, they moved to the DSA part, asking one question based on the Greedy algorithm. The candidate was able to figure out the logic due to sufficient practice on LeetCode and GFG. The interviewers were satisfied, and a few behavioral questions (3-4) were asked, which the candidate answered using the STAR technique.

Round 3: Values Round

This round, scheduled shortly after the technical interview, involved discussions about the company's values and the candidate's past experiences as a backend developer. Questions included what the candidate had done, the benefits their contributions brought, and other behavioral aspects. The interviewer was satisfied.
