NielsenIQ visited the campus in September 2021 for the Software Engineer profile. All rounds were conducted virtually due to the pandemic.

Round 1: Online Coding Test

This round was conducted on the Codility platform and consisted of 3 coding questions (2 easy and 1 medium level). The candidate was able to solve all questions within the given time.

Round 2: Technical Interview Round

This was a one-hour online technical round divided into four sections.

  • **First section:** Introduction and general questions from the resume and projects.
  • **Second section:** Live coding round. The interviewer asked the candidate to open a code editor and run the code there. The questions were basic, related to arrays and strings, including one like "Given two strings, check if the first string is the reverse of the other."
  • **Third section:** Questions related to DBMS, specifically concepts like Normalization and Indexing.
  • **Fourth section:** Not explicitly detailed but implies further technical discussion.
Round 3: HR Round

This round was conducted by a senior manager and included questions from the resume and projects, as well as behavioral and situation-based questions.

The candidate was advised to speak confidently and not try to fake anything.

The result was a full-time job offer along with an internship as a Software Engineer in NielsenIQ.
