Topics Asked: CS Fundamentals (DBMS, DSA, OS, CN, Linux), AWS, Hash maps, DevOps, Projects, DNS, Linux file permissions, Behavioral

Experience:

This interview experience was for an Associate SE - Cloud role. The process involved four rounds.

Round 1: Online Assessment (OA)
This round was described as "very easy" and consisted of 2 easy coding questions, similar to those found on GeeksforGeeks and LeetCode. Additionally, there were around 30 MCQs covering CS fundamentals and aptitude. Key topics to focus on included DBMS, DSA, OS, CN, and basic Linux commands.

Round 2: Technical Round
As the role was for Cloud, questions were focused on AWS and basic Linux commands. The candidate was also asked to write pseudo-code for a question based on Hash maps. Specific questions included: "What is S3?" and "How do you search for a word in a Linux file?".

Round 3: Technical Round
This round was considered "one of the most challenging". The interviewer asked about the candidate's projects, views on DevOps, and CS fundamental questions. While the interviewer for this candidate was "quite chill", others reportedly faced severe scrutiny on core Database and JAVA concepts. Questions asked were: "What is DNS and what happens when you type www.google.com?" and "What are commands for changing the file permissions in Linux?".

Round 4: HR Round
This was a virtual round with "interesting questions". Typical HR questions like "Why should we hire you?", "What fields do you think will be of most importance in the coming years?", and "What are your strengths and your weaknesses?" were asked.

Overall Experience: The candidate found the overall interview experience "really amazing" and was glad to have aced it. The results came on the same day, and the candidate was selected for the Cloud role, primarily focusing on DevOps. The coding round was online and conducted on college premises, while other rounds were offline except for HR, all on the same day.
