Experience:

The interview process for the Business Analyst role at Accordion began with Online Assessment (OA) rounds. These rounds included a significant number of aptitude questions, particularly focusing on quantitative abilities. The candidate advised that strong aptitude skills, comparable to those required for competitive exams like CAT, are crucial for clearing the OA rounds.

Following the successful completion of the OA, there were two subsequent interview rounds. Both of these rounds heavily emphasized case studies.

• Round 1: The first interviewer started by asking for a brief self-introduction from the candidate. After the introduction, the interviewer directly presented a case study question for the candidate to solve and discuss.
• Round 2: In the second round, the interviewer introduced themselves and then requested a more detailed self-description from the candidate. Similar to the first round, this was followed by another case study.

The candidate highlighted the importance of pre-placement support, such as mock interviews and resume reviews, which proved very beneficial. Additionally, data science courses and curated resources provided by MAS were helpful in preparation. The candidate also reflected that focusing more on case studies during college would have further enhanced his performance in the interview process.
