Topics Asked: Python, SQL, AWS (Polymorphism, Overloading vs Overriding, Python exceptions, AWS Lambda, Dynamo DB), Data Structures, Algorithms, Project discussion (training/testing datasets, real-world application, libraries, accuracy formula, numpy, pandas), Networking concepts, Operating Systems (Linux).

Experience:

This experience details an AT&T campus drive for final year Computer Science and Information Technology students. The process consisted of two main rounds.

Round 1: Technical Assessment
This round comprised 30 MCQs and 5 coding questions, to be completed within 90 minutes.

Round 2: Interview (Technical + HR)
After a few weeks, the candidate received a Microsoft Teams call for an interview, lasting about 60 minutes. The panel had two members.

Technical Round (TR) Questions:

  • Rating in Python and SQL.
  • Polymorphism, overloading vs overriding, Python exceptions.
  • Awareness of AWS services.
  • Write sample code for runtime polymorphism in Notepad and explain runtime vs compile-time.
  • Questions on AWS Lambda and Dynamo DB, and their differences.
  • Write two SQL queries.
  • Python code to reverse a string word by word.
  • Three coding challenges: counting duplicates in a list, counting the frequency of digits in a list, deleting duplicates in a list. The interviewer also asked about approaches to solve these questions.

HR Round Questions:

  • Explain the candidate's project technically.
  • Discussion on training dataset, testing dataset, and real-world application of the project.
  • Libraries used in the project, accuracy formula, uses of NumPy and Pandas.
  • General questions like "Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?"
  • Tips: Focus on networking concepts and different operating systems (like Linux), and be aware of various tools used in the market.
