Experience:

This on-campus interview experience for a Software Engineer role at Accolite Digital included an offer for an internship with a full-time employment opportunity.

Online Test: The initial test was conducted on Accolite's Eduthrill platform. It consisted of 30 MCQs covering OOPS, DBMS, networks, JAVA, DSA, and code snippets. Additionally, there was one coding question based on graphs.

Technical Interview 1 (DSA and Core CS): The interviewer began with introductions and then asked questions related to C language and OOPs. OOPs concepts covered included classes, objects, pillars of OOP, access specifiers, advantages of OOP over structured programming, disadvantages of OOP, and abstraction. The candidate was asked to implement an abstract class with a virtual function, which satisfied the interviewer.

  • DSA Question: Find duplicates. The candidate had to explain all approaches with their time and space complexities before coding the optimized approach.
  • Projects: The interviewer then moved to projects, asking the candidate to explain the most recent one. A specific question was asked about a challenging feature created in the project, the challenges faced, and how they were resolved.

Technical Interview (DSA - Trees and Graphs): After introductions, the interviewer asked if the candidate was comfortable with trees and graphs. Upon confirmation, two questions were posed. The candidate was asked to first explain the iterative approach, then the recursive approach, and finally to write the code from scratch. The interviewer gave positive feedback.

Technical Interview (JavaScript/React - if applicable): In another technical round, the interviewer asked for self-introduction and then probed into basic concepts of JavaScript and React, such as synchronization, hoisting, event loop, hooks, Redux, and callbacks. Following this, two coding questions were given, for which the candidate had to explain all approaches and then write the optimized code. The candidate was able to explain approaches and write code for both questions.

HR Round: The HR round started with introductions, followed by questions about family and hometown. Behavioral questions included "What is your passion?", "Short term and long term goals," "Why should we hire you?", "Why Accolite?", "Challenges faced during project," and "How will you resolve a conflict in your team?". The HR also provided details about Accolite, working locations, salary breakup, and the 6-month internship offer.
