Experience:

InfoEdge visited the campus on 22nd July 2021 for the Software Engineer role.

Round 1: Online Round (40 minutes, 35 questions)

  • This round was conducted on firstnaukri.com.
  • Section A (20 mins): Quantitative ability, logical reasoning, data interpretations, and a few pattern-based questions.
  • Section B (20 mins): Technical ability questions from Linux, C, typical C++ pointer questions, and input-output questions.
  • Cutoff was around 70% (24 out of 35 questions).
  • Suggestion: Practice aptitude from Indiabix and GeeksforGeeks. Time management was key.
  • Results: 4 students were shortlisted from the college on 31st July 2021.

Round 2: Technical Interview 1 (75 minutes)

  • Started with introductions.
  • Questions on React.js: Components, how refreshing works in React, working of components.
  • DSA Question: Find the Loop in a Linked List. The candidate shared the screen and coded the solution in Eclipse (Java) after discussing the approach.
  • OOPS Concepts: Various OOPS concepts were asked, and the candidate had to explain them with real-life examples.
  • The interviewer was impressed with the candidate's use of Java.
  • Results: 2 students cleared this round.

Round 3: Technical Interview 2 (70-75 minutes)

  • Started with a brief introduction.
  • DSA Question: A subarray-based question. The candidate found the correct approach, coded it in 5 minutes, and it passed all test cases.
  • OOPS Concepts: Again, various OOPS concepts with real-life examples.
  • Results: Only 1 student (the candidate) cleared this round.

Round 4: Technical Interview 3 (30 minutes)

  • Started with a general introduction.
  • Operating Systems: Around 10 questions from easy to medium difficulty were asked.
  • Networking Question: "What happens when an URL is clicked?" The candidate answered by referencing caching TLD servers and ISPs.
  • System Design: Design an elevator for a 100-story building.
  • The interviewer was an Engineering Manager and was impressed with the candidate's energy and knowledge, and discussed the work culture.
  • Results: The candidate was shortlisted for the HR round.

Round 5: HR Round

  • Started with a general introduction.
  • Questions asked: Self-rating on DSA (out of 10), whether family was affected by COVID, which feature at Naukri.com the candidate would like to change.
  • The candidate was offered a 6-month internship with a high stipend and was the only student selected from the entire college.
