InfoEdge conducted a recruitment drive on campus for Software Engineer roles. The process involved 4 rounds.

Round 1 (Online Multiple Choice Question Test): This MCQ test was conducted on firstnaukri.com and consisted of 40 questions.

  • 20 questions on Aptitude (Quantitative + Logical) and 20 questions on technical subjects like Data Structures, C output-based questions, DBMS, OS, Computer Networks.
  • Both sections were 20 minutes time-bound separately with average difficulty.
20 out of 130 students were shortlisted for interviews.

Round 2 (Technical F2F Interview 1): This round focused heavily on OOPs and database design.

  • Questions on OOP concepts: Difference between abstraction and encapsulation, overriding and overloading, compile-time and run-time polymorphism, vtable and vptr.
  • Why Java is robust and secure compared to C++.
  • Various questions on Exception Handling, Thread Support, References, Copy Constructor.
  • Relational Schema of Facebook and its various keys with graph traversal.
  • A geometry problem: A rectangle given parallel to x-axis and y-axis, and a ball with coordinates and an angle for direction. Find the equation of the line and its path with further collision to boundaries of the rectangle.
  • Data structures questions like linked list nth node from last and graph traversals.
After this round, 6 students were selected.

Round 3 (Technical Interview F2F 2): This round included puzzles and coding.

  • Puzzles: Temple and Flower puzzle (interviewer asked for code as well).

Round 4 (HR Round): This was the final round with basic HR questions.

  • Tell me about yourself and Family Background.
  • Why InfoEdge.
  • Preferred languages and interests after joining InfoEdge.
  • Hobbies and strengths and any future plans.
Finally, 4 students were offered the job.
