Experience:

The virtual hiring process for Indus Insights was a new experience.

Round 1: Written Round

This round consisted of Mental Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and a Guesstimate section. There was a section-wise time limit.

Pre-Interview Session: Buddy Session

Before the interviews, a "buddy session" was conducted where candidates could interact with junior employees and were briefed about the interview process, guesstimates, and case interviews.

Round 2: Guesstimate Interview

This was the first interview round. Candidates were split into groups and given the same question. For one group, the question was: "estimate the income a YouTuber makes from YouTube in a month." The interviewer focused on the thought process rather than a specific answer.

Round 3: Case Interview

This round involved a case study. The virtual format meant candidates had to actively ask questions to get data, as the interviewer was not always forthcoming with information. Candidates were expected to convey their thoughts effectively without necessarily presenting their screen.

Round 4: HR/CEO Round

This final round was with the CEO and was longer than usual. Initial questions were general, such as "How was your day?" and "How was the virtual interview experience?". Behavioral and personal questions followed, including "Would you rather be an employee or an employer?" and "Why is your CG so low?". Questions about past experiences, like NSS, were also asked. The company generally does not focus heavily on resumes.

The overall experience was made pleasant by the buddy session and the presence of "buddies" in spectator mode during interviews.
