Experience:

The company visited NIT Agartala around mid-August. The placement drive consisted of 4 rounds.

Round 1: Online Test (Xobin platform)
This round took place on August 27th and was 1 hour 30 minutes long. Sections included:

• Aptitude Questions
• Quantitative Analysis
• English
• 2 Coding questions

Tips for the first 3 sections: Practice regularly from GFG or Prepinsta; sometimes questions from CAT exams are repeated. The coding questions were of moderate difficulty. Specific coding questions mentioned:

• Check for balanced parentheses in an expression (similar to GeeksforGeeks problem).
• A variation of the "minimum number of platforms required for a railway/bus station" problem (similar to GeeksforGeeks problem).

Tip for coding questions: Always aim for an optimized solution. Out of 150 students, 19 were shortlisted.

Round 2: System Design Round
This round was conducted on August 30th and was a 30-minute web-proctored test on MS Teams. Two questions were given, and candidates had to solve one of their choice. Questions given:

• Redesign a solution to reduce congestion in different coaches in a new metro rail service.
• Redesigning surge pricing for Ola and Uber for auto and cycle rickshaws in Tier 2 cities (Dynamic pricing).

Candidates could answer on pen and paper, Word document, or PowerPoint, but digital format was preferred. The solution should be in points, avoiding essays, and include problem solution, flowchart, steps, and summary. This was not a major elimination round, with 16 out of 19 students shortlisted. The solution was evaluated in the 1-on-1 interview.

Round 3: Personal Interview Round (Technical)
This was a 1-on-1 interview. Questions asked:

• Discussion about DBMS, including industrial-level problem situations and modifications.
• Discussion about the web development project mentioned in the resume, including why a particular tech stack was used and how it worked.
• Long discussion on the system design solution submitted in Round 2.
• Introduction (asked at the end, which was unusual).

Out of 16 students, 5 were selected for the next round.

Round 4: HR Round / Final Meet Round
All 5 shortlisted candidates joined the same meeting. Initially, they were told only 2 of 5 would be hired, and each was asked "why should we be hired" (incorporating company values was a tip). However, all 5 candidates were eventually selected.
